Sunday, September 29, 2019 - Docked in Koper, visited Koper Slovenia

The plan for today was to do a self walking tour of Koper Old Town. It is a small town with a couple of main streets.  There was some sort of cooking or baking events going on.  It did not take us long to walk through the whole town.  Then we went up to the top of the bell tower for top view of the sounding.  It was nice.

Then, we remembered something about the tour to Piran.  After confirming from one of the tour information staff, touring Piran was what we did next.  We bought tickets and got on a bus next to the cruise port.

The first stop of the tour was a photo stop of a small fishing town Izola.

Then, we stopped at Piran with 2 hours free time.  The tour bus stopped at one end of the town and we were just walking to town along the water.  Piran sits on a peninsula and is in southwestern Slovenia on the Gulf of Piran on the Adriatic Sea. At the tip of Piran’s coast line, one can see 3 counties namely Croatia, Italy and Slovenia.

Along east side of Piran, there were countless restaurants and bars with outdoor seating for tourists and beach goers.  Stroking along, it was just so relaxing and enjoyable.
